Freelance HTML, CSS and JavaScript help needed

By John ~ Wednesday, 09 July 2014

Update: Thank you, we’ve now filled this role.

  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Contract length: Open ended, minimum 1-2 months
  • Location: UK, remote work. Occasional trips to London office and possibly Oxford

We are looking for some help to build a style guide for a large, well established, start-up with offices and development teams in the UK, US and Australia.

Project details

The goal of the project is to produce a component-based style guide that can be shared across the company for use by numerous development teams. The user interface will be designed to deal with large and complex data sets. Responsive design is a must. Accessibility, no-js, progressive enhancement, semantic HTML are principals we’ll play by.

The style guide will start with Bootstrap but will need to be tweaked and extended significantly.

Skills needed

We are looking for someone who writes confidently in SASS (or LESS), Knows their HTML onions and who has strong JS and jQuery skills and will be able to demonstrate that through past work. If your JS and jQuery skills are OK…ish, this isn’t the role for you.

You don’t need to be a designer, you just need to be willing to collaborate with two of them.

You will need to be available for 3-4 days a week. This will be a fast-paced project.

Note: you will be contracted to the company itself, not Mr & Mrs OK.

If you’d like to discuss this project please email us at thedesk@mrandmrsok.com. Please include some relevant samples of previous work and your daily rate.
